“A new-born calf fears not the tiger” ~ Anon

A Moment of Trust!

I searched and I searched and at last I found this gem by Oliver Herford

The Cow

                                                                         The Cow is too well known, I fear,
                                                                         To need an introduction here.
                                                                         If She should vanish from Earth’s face
                                                                         It would be Hard to fill Her place;
                                                                         For with the Cow would disappear
                                                                         So much that every one holds Dear

    Dear Sir,

    Thank you for sharing your beautiful sentiments about a Cow. And the lovely picture is indeed worth a thousand words!

    We do have this saying in Thamizh:

    “Ilam kandru bayam ariyaathu” (A young calf knows no fear). …

    And here’s a beautiufl Gomatha Stuthi:

      I used the quote to depict ‘trust’. Its fascinating to note that there is an equivalent in Thamizh. I never knew of the Thamizh literature and its awesome heritage.till I checked through Google.

      Thanks for this enlightened.

      Warm regards!
